Marvin Smith,  amazing artist and lead singer of the popular soul group “The Artistics”, still a popular entertainer continues to perform live at all types of venues such as concerts, weddings, sports events, and bar mitzvahs, conventions and overseas. Marvin sings the “National Anthem” for Veterans in the hospitals, and also postal service on Veterans Day.

 “I was in Nashville Tennessee with Barrett Strong; he was being honored for his greatest hits. The audience was to ask him 20 Questions. One of the questions was of all the songs he’s written which one he would consider his greatest. His answer “I haven’t written it yet!” So I am hoping that I would be the one, after Marvin Gaye and the Temptations that I would be the one!!!”

 

Marvin has received several honorable mentions for representing the Veterans. Marvin Smith is currently working with Motown’s super writer Barrett’s strong. With upcoming events and such a strong passion for music and performing, there is much in store for Marvin Smith.
